Author Declaration and Copyright Transfer Agreement

The Centre for Research and Innovation (CRI) requires the author(s) or other lawful copyright holder, upon acceptance of a manuscript for publication, to complete this Declaration and Copyright Transfer Agreement. The transfer and assignment of copyright to the Centre for Research and Innovation (CRI) shall take effect upon publication of the article. Copyright transfer is a condition of publication, except where the work is in the public domain or contains third-party material reproduced with appropriate permission.

Upon publication, CRI becomes the copyright holder of the published version of record and holds the rights necessary to publish, reproduce, distribute, archive, preserve, index, disseminate, and protect the article.

Authors retain the scholarly reuse and repository rights expressly permitted under the journal's policies. Authors may deposit and share the published Version of Record on their personal or institutional websites and in appropriate scholarly repositories for non-commercial purposes, provided that:

  • The published article remains unchanged;
  • The complete citation and DOI or permanent link to the original publication are provided;
  • The original CRI copyright notice is retained;
  • The applicable Creative Commons licence is clearly displayed; and
  • The original journal publication is appropriately acknowledged.

All published articles are made immediately and permanently available as Gold Open Access under the Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial-NoDerivatives 4.0 International License (CC BY-NC-ND 4.0).

Under this licence, users may copy and redistribute the unchanged published article in any medium or format for non-commercial purposes, provided appropriate credit is given to the author(s), the journal, the Centre for Research and Innovation (CRI), and the original publication.

Commercial use and the distribution of modified, adapted, translated, or derivative versions are not permitted under this licence without additional permission from the relevant copyright holder.
